I hate London . . .

Okay, so maybe hate is strong word. Also, keep in mind, that the tube workers were on strike so everyone in the city was on foot or in a car. I'm telling you there were wall to wall people and bumper to bumper cars. It made me very anxious. Not at all the London you picture if you have never been. The London that I saw was just not at all my kind of town. I was so happy to get back to Oxford. I've learned how to get around here, sure I have to walk everywhere, but it's not so big that you can get from one side to the other in a reasonable amount of time. I want to give London another chance before I leave and hopefully it will grow on me.

I had a very busy week. The way my schedule has worked out here I had to do 2 tutorials in one week. So, I had a 6-8 page paper due on Monday, and they another on Friday. Which would have been fine, if I hadn't had to teach two days and do all of the research and then read all of the research. It was pretty much a frantic pace. I got the paper done, after much drama and a 4 am computer crash. My next paper isn't due until next Thursday so I will have a little more time at least. I will probably spend most of Monday in the Bodliean Library studying though!

We had a fun day today! A bunch of us went to Oxford Castle http://www.oxfordcastle.com/ . They were having a midevil fair, which was free if you paid for a castle tour and we had been talking about doing that anyway. The whole thing was a riot. The view from the top of the tower was amazing and the fair was so incredibly corny but fun none the less. I needed a day of fun after writing that last paper! I think my next "field trip" is to Bath/Stonehenge, though, I hoping to get a few more things in on my own. Maybe a trip to the coast. I looked into Beatrix Potter's house but it's really far away - Maybe Virginia Woolfs house instead.

I'm posting some more pictures and I'll upload some videos too! Hope everyone is doing well - only two more weeks left here (my how time flies!).
